This million euro Nissan GT-R is looking for an owner

The Nissan GT-R R35 revolutionized the world of supercars when it entered the scene in 2009. With twin-turbocharging, four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission, the GT-R has become an almost iconic vehicle. any high ground. -performance automakers tried to imitate. Fortunately for die-hard "Godzilla" fans, you now have the opportunity to own a special version of the rare model produced in its commercial life: the 2021 Nissan GT-R50.

In the brand of Italdesign

The first GT-R50 arrived as a concept car in 2018, marking the 50th anniversary of the GT-R moniker at design house Italdesign. The model combines the technical capabilities of the R35 with some influences from the early days of the car industry, especially from Italy. The concept car was received with such enthusiasm that Nissan promised to build fewer units, with a production limit of just 50. Production has been halted due to Covid-19, but the automaker closed its pre-booking in July this year.

This example is number 11, although Legendary Car dealers say only 19 units were produced. Considering that it took the automaker a long time to close the backlog, demand may not reach the 50-unit target. Regardless of the actual production data, the base price of €990,000 (excluding taxes) meant that only the most enthusiastic R35 buyers would be lucky enough to own one. It's a lot of money, but the work Nissan and Italdesign have done is great and impressive.

Under the hood, the GT-R50 has a modified version of the familiar 3.8-liter VR38DETT V6. The upgraded turbos are taken directly from the GT3 racing model and combined with advanced injectors, larger intercoolers and a modified intake to produce more power.

Part of the modification also includes an updated crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods. In total, 710 horsepower and 780 Nm of high torque are sent to the wheels through a reworked six-speed dual-clutch transmission, while Bilstein adaptive dampers take care of the suspension.

Also included is an optional hydraulic rear wing, which provides an aerodynamically efficient system for maximum performance on the track. Not that this car has seen the circuit as it comes with the original transmission. The Italdesign body won't suit everyone, but the look is more unique than what you'll find in Nissan products. The color also has a special tint, which costs the first owner almost 30,000 euros according to the company's specifications. It looks good in the Nismo red tone, although we hope that the initial investment will not require a large increase for potential buyers.
